What is Letterpress Printing? +Letterpress printing originally used raised metal type cast from hot lead. The present day use of letterpress is with polymer plates to obtain a deep impression onto paper which gives definition and enhancement to the printed piece.
Will I see a proof? +Wedding Invitation Packages: 2-5 proofs depending on number of client changes
Announcements: 1-2 proofs
Notecards: 1-2 proofs
Proofs will be emailed to you in pdf format. Please proof carefully. Have a second person proof read as well. The proof you approve is what will be printed. It is up to you to make sure your invitation, stationery or announcement is exactly what you want with no errors. Reprinting costs are the client’s responsibility.
I have a specific color and or paper in mind, can you match it for me? KMS can match any color. Any printer KMS works with has the ability to match thousands of color swatches from the Pantone Color System. Examples KMS can match to: Fabric swatch, paint chip, flower petal color, and more. Letterpress, Thermography, and Engraving printers can also mix inks.
Custom paper choices are available as well.
Do you have a price list? +For a detailed pricing estimate on custom orders, please contact KMS for your specific needs. Custom Design requires a consultation via email, phone or by appointment in person, then an exact estimate will be given to you.

Is there a deposit requirement? +Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to start design work. Final payment is due upon delivery. Payment options are a personal check or cashier’s check or credit card.
For Collections located in the shopping cart, payment in full with credit card is required.
Do you have minimum orders? +Yes. Minimum orders for collections start at a quantity of 50. Generally when ordering custom stationery, you get the most for your money with a quantity of 75 and up. Minimum orders for higher end printing such as letterpress, engraved or thermography start at a minimum of 50. But it is more cost effective to order higher quantities.
Are your collection designs less than a custom design? +Generally, any design that you see on the website that has already been designed, whether it is in the custom category or collection category, is the same price. Collection pricing In

If you decide to have KMS design a completely new look for your wedding, Invitation, stationery, or event, then a custom design fee is assessed depending upon the complexity of the design.
When ordering stationery, custom paper, and custom printing bring the total to a higher price point.
Custom Artwork: Am I allowed to use artwork KMS created for other purposes? +KMS owns all artwork that has been created by KMS for custom invitations, collection invitations, or any other stationery, announcement, or collateral pieces. You, the client, must get prior approval for any use of any artwork in any form that KMS has created for you. All printable materials must be printed through Kate Murphy Stationery. Katie Murphy Stationery owns the copyright and intellectual property of all artwork and design work. Use of artwork for your wedding website or blog is permissible, and KMS will give you a file for that specific use. All artwork on any website or blog, any social or printed media (artwork, printed material file, photograph of the artwork, photograph of the printed material) must have a Katie Murphy Stationery credit, and it must read as follows. ©Katie Murphy Stationery (year it was created), all rights reserved.
Does KMS offer assembly services? +If your invitation or announcement requires assembly, KMS can assemble them for you for an hourly fee of $25 per hour.
Does KMS offer hand addressing and calligraphy services? +Hand addressing and calligraphy services offered through Katie Murphy Stationery, either by a local calligrapher or Digitally printed through a local printer.
Calligraphy services such as hand lettering for your invitation design will be estimated upon request. Hand lettering can be done by another calligrapher who has different styles that can be utilized as well.
What are the printing options available to me? +Wedding, Party or Event Invitation Packages: Letterpress and Offset/Digital, Thermography, Engraving and Foil printing, Laser Cut, and Embossing/Debossing using Local Minneapolis Printing Companies are available. Note Cards: Digital Printing, Letterpress, Thermography, Engraving, Foil. Announcements: Digital/Offset, Letterpress and other forms of printing if you choose. Other Custom Orders: Printing and paper that you prefer. Collection Stationery in shopping cart: Printing is either digital or letterpress, depending on which option you choose. For any of the types of stationery above, KMS will work with a custom print order in thermography or engraving, if the design can be applied to those types of printing.
